Commercial spaceflight, the most certain direction in the 15th Five-Year Plan!

Starlink+6G will deeply integrate during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and with breakthroughs in commercial space technology, commercial spaceflight will enter a phase of intensive launches. Due to earlier stagnation, domestic constellations will enter a more intensive "rush" launch phase during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Taking the GW constellation as an example, 13,000 low Earth orbit satellites will be launched between 2026 and 2030. According to the latest industry information, an internal meeting of China Star Network confirmed that bidding will start this Wednesday. Since October 2022, the first generation of satellites will face larger-scale bidding and procurement. Since the end of July, the GW constellation has completed 3 launch missions, with 2 more expected in August. The number of satellites in orbit will reach 72 (only 34 by the end of June). The Qianfan constellation also announced 1.336 billion rocket launch missions in July, and is expected to accelerate in the second half of the year. Additionally, it is worth noting that 6G will complete standard formulation between 2026 and 2030 and will also complete the construction of an integrated space-ground network, combining low Earth orbit satellites and ground base stations. Huawei and ZTE are expected to commercialize 6G satellite phones by 2028, making 6G communication technology one of the key focuses of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
