Apricot blossoms mark the 70th anniversary, and the Starship embarks on a new journey: Jilin University alumni companies contribute to the glorious chapter of engineering with technology
2025-04-21
On April 20th, the Nanling Campus of Jilin University was blanketed in apricot blossoms, the fragrance of flowers lingering in the air. The 10th Apricot Blossom Cultural Festival and the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Engineering Discipline commenced in grand style. As a representative of Jilin University alumni enterprises, Suzhou Jitian Xingzhou Space Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jitian Xingzhou) showcased its independently developed spectral optical payload products and novel remote sensing technologies characterized by high time efficiency, high geometry, and high spectrum (referred to as the "three highs"), adding a touch of brilliance to the spring campus with its technological prowess. Furthermore, the company celebrated Jilin University's 70th anniversary of engineering with the practical achievements of the deep integration of industry, academia, and research.
The city and the university jointly praised Jilin University's innovative strength, and its aerospace precision was highly recognized.

Changchun Vice Mayor Ruan Ganghui and Jilin University Party Committee Deputy Secretary Han Xiping visited the Jitian Xingzhou booth. Chairman Zhang Liu gave the delegation a detailed introduction to the company's core products—a 0.5m resolution visible light multispectral camera, a space target detection camera, and a high-precision picostar sensor. He also explained how these "three highs" technologies empower areas such as land surveys and environmental monitoring. The delegation expressed high praise for Jitian Xingzhou's groundbreaking achievements in aerospace technology and fully affirmed the company's commitment to "making scientific research achievements known to the motherland."
Media Focus on "Jitian Double Star"

During the exhibition, Jitian Xingzhou's innovative achievements attracted the attention of numerous media outlets, including Jilin Daily and Jilin University News Center. Chairman Zhang Liu revealed in an interview that the company, centered on "three highs" technologies, has built a comprehensive optical payload product system covering a wide range of fields, including land surveys and environmental monitoring. Currently, the "Jitian Twin Satellites" (Jilin University Satellite No. 1 and Suzhou Satellite No. 1) have accumulated nearly 100,000 scenes of remote sensing imagery, providing spatial data support for various industries. During a livestream event concurrent with the exhibition, Chairman Zhang Liu, using his camera as a medium, recounted the technical challenges and profound sentiments behind the launch of "Jilin University Satellite No. 1" to the audience in the studio and on television.
Children's Hearts Embark on a Voyage, Young Scholars Build Dreams
Jitian Xingzhou's cutting-edge technology attracted numerous students. Many engineering students expressed keen interest in the development details of aerospace optical payloads and engaged in in-depth discussions with the technical team. Several recent graduates submitted their resumes on the spot, hoping to join this team dedicated to "measuring the galaxy with precise algorithms." Chairman Zhang Liu said: "The innovative genes of Jilin University's engineering students coincide with Jitian Xingzhou's mission. We look forward to more young talents joining us to explore the stars and the sea."

Meanwhile, the "Science Classroom" in front of the booth was bustling with activity. Many parents brought their children to observe the camera products and satellite models up close. The Jitian Xingzhou team explained in a vivid and easy-to-understand manner, "How satellites photograph the Earth" and "How deep space exploration captures starlight." The children eagerly asked questions, their eyes filled with curiosity about the universe. Parents praised the event, saying, "This science class has allowed our children's imaginations to soar into the cosmos!"
Xingzhou sets sail, continuing its glorious journey.
From the poetic beauty of the Apricot Blossom Corridor to the hardcore aerospace exhibition booth, Jitian Xingzhou measured seven decades of perseverance and innovation in engineering with "aerospace precision." This exhibition not only showcased the alumni company's commitment to "serving the nation through technology," but also established a closed-loop ecosystem of "research, application, and dissemination" through the three-dimensional integration of "technology display, talent attraction, and public education." Going forward, Jitian Xingzhou will continue to deepen its optical payload technology and contribute even more "Xingzhou power" to the "space power" strategy.
