At 23:47 on September 25, 2024, the Jitian Star A-01 satellite (Jilin University No.1 satellite) developed by Suzhou Jitian Xingzhou Space Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jitian Xingzhou) successfully achieved in orbit imaging in just 38 hours after being launched into the predetermined orbit. After transmission through the satellite ground link, the data analysis was completed, and the imaging quality was good, meeting the expected indicators. The satellite has successfully completed its first remote sensing photography mission for the Earth!

At 10:31 on September 24th, Jitian Star A-01 was launched into the sea near Haiyang, Shandong Province, aboard the Jielong III Yao-4 carrier rocket. At around 10:43, after the separation of the satellite and the rocket, the satellite entered its designated orbit and the solar panels were successfully deployed. At 12:05, the satellite passed through Chinese airspace for the first time and established a stable satellite ground communication link with the Korla ground measurement and control station. The satellite ground system located in Suzhou, Jiangsu successfully received telemetry data. The satellite launch mission has achieved complete success.
After the satellite was in orbit, we conducted a series of tests on the satellite platform control, satellite ground link data transmission, temperature control, etc. 24 hours a day without interruption. The satellite status was normal and met the conditions for remote sensing photography of the ground. It is reported that as a meter level high-resolution optical remote sensing satellite, after completing the first image taking task, the research team will further modify the platform and payload parameters of Jitian Star A-01 satellite based on the imaging situation, adjust the entire satellite to the optimal working state, and gradually carry out and complete radiation calibration, geometric calibration, spectral calibration and other testing work based on the requirements of the photography task, in order to fully utilize the outstanding capabilities and significant advantages of the satellite's "arbitrary curve non orbital imaging" and "computational reconstruction of high geometry hyperspectral imaging" in the future, and prepare for the successful realization of high-quality mapping; At the same time, the Jitian Star A-03 satellite (Suzhou No.1 satellite) launched by Jitian Xingzhou on August 29th is also about to complete in orbit testing, with good imaging quality and data about to be released for use in the market.
