[Jitian Vision] A Visa-Free Journey to the Clouds – Australia’s Lifeline: The Diamantina River

Suzhou-1 Satellite (Jitianxing A-03) and Jilin University-1 Satellite (Jitianxing A-01) are the first two satellites to launch a new generation of optical remote sensing technology from the Jitianxingzhou constellation. Equipped with independently developed high-speed, high-geometry, and high-spectral optical cameras, the satellites offer both conventional and in-motion imaging capabilities, with a ground-based panchromatic, multispectral, and hyperspectral resolution of 3 meters and a swath width of 15 kilometers.
As the Jitian twin satellites pass over the Southern Hemisphere, they offer a "visa-free" journey from the clouds to the Australian hinterland, where you can gaze upon the millennia-old marks carved by the Diamantina River on the red earth continent.

Satellite imagery reveals a breathtaking landscape larger than the United Kingdom. This time-tested red soil not only preserves geological traces from the dinosaur era and millennia-old cultural codes of its indigenous peoples, but also embodies the pulse of the earth, which can only be fully captured from space.
The Diamantina River's channel system is like a "vascular network" exposed beneath the skin of the earth: dark dry riverbeds meander and interweave on the red soil. After millions of years of cutting, sedimentation and diversion, the 158,000 square kilometers of the river basin have been carved into a "breathing living texture" on the earth's surface.
Under the scorching sun, the torrent recedes, the riverbed shrinking to intermittent dark ribbons. However, in the low-lying areas, waterholes, known as "desert gems," emerge. These azure specks, like scattered stars, nourish birds, reptiles, and even crocodiles. For the Dieri people, who have lived here for generations, this river holds a sacred name—"Yamni," meaning "Mother's Blood."
